Goatacorn
Privacy policy for the iPhone and iPad app · Last updated October 2, 2026
This page covers the Goatacorn app for iPhone and iPad, published by independent developer Richard Nelson under the studio name Blondee Games. It is the Goatacorn flying game, rebuilt for iPhone and iPad. There are no accounts, ads, in-app purchases or subscriptions.
This policy is for the iPhone and iPad app. The games and pages on goatacorn.com have their own website privacy policy. The app has no leaderboard, server connection, shared web save or website analytics.
The short version
- The app makes no network connections at all. We receive nothing from it: no scores, no names, no pictures.
- Progress, settings and your You-da-corns are saved on your device.
- You-da-corn pictures are made on the device and stay inside the app. They are never uploaded, never shared, never saved to your Photos and never included in device backups.
- No account, no ads, no analytics or advertising SDKs, and no tracking across apps or websites.
- Sharing a score is your choice, through the iOS share sheet.
What the app saves on your device
The app uses its own private storage in Library/Application Support to save:
- your best score, your sprinkles, and the characters, trails, auras and power-ups you own and have chosen
- for the Daily Challenge: your best score for each day, today's attempts, your streak and its weekly freeze, and the path of today's best run (the ghost you race)
- sound, music, haptics, effects and motion settings
- a few small markers, such as which power-ups are active and whether the daily tip has been seen
- the name of each You-da-corn and the date it was made
- the pictures that make each You-da-corn (see below)
The progress file keeps one rolling local backup of the save before it, so a damaged save can be recovered. None of this is sent to us.
What the app sends anywhere
Nothing. The app makes no network connections of any kind. It does not upload progress, scores, names or pictures. It has no account service, leaderboard, advertising service, analytics service or automatic crash-reporting service. It does not use an advertising identifier or track you across apps or websites.
The Daily Challenge needs no connection either. The day's course is worked out on the device from the date, so everyone flies the same pipes that day, and your daily bests stay on the device.
The PRIVACY link on the title screen and Settings → Privacy policy open a web page in Safari or your chosen default browser. Loading a web page is separate from playing the app and is covered by the website's policy.
You-da-corn: your face on the goat
You-da-corn puts a face on the Goatacorn, from a selfie or from a photo you choose. This is everything that happens to the picture:
- The camera. The front camera is used only on the You-da-corn screen, after you tap its big button. iOS asks your permission the first time.
- A photo instead. Choose a photo opens Apple's photo picker. The app receives only the one photo you pick, so it never asks for access to your photo library.
- Fitting. The face is found and cut out on the device with Apple's Vision framework, then drawn onto the Goatacorn's animation frames. The app finds the face only to place it; it does not recognize who is in the picture. No picture is sent anywhere to do this.
- What is kept. For each You-da-corn, the app keeps a copy of the picture cropped around the face and the finished frames, inside its own private storage on this device. They are never uploaded, never shared and never written to your Photos.
- Backups. The You-da-corn pictures are excluded from iCloud Backup and from backups on your computer. If you restore a phone or tablet from a backup, your You-da-corns' names come back with your progress, and each one asks for a new picture.
- Deleting. Deleting a You-da-corn, in the shop or in Settings, deletes its pictures and its name. Taking a new picture replaces the old ones. Reset progress and deleting the app delete all of them.
- Saying no. You can refuse the camera and choose a photo instead, or not make a You-da-corn at all. Everything else in the game works the same. You can change the camera permission later in the iOS Settings app.
Sharing a score is your choice
The result card and the Daily Challenge screen have a SHARE button. It opens the iOS share sheet only when you tap it, with a short line about your score and a link to goatacorn.com. For a daily score, the link also carries that score and the date, so a friend can try to beat it on the website. Nothing else goes with it: no picture and no name. You choose whether to share and where it goes. A service you choose in the share sheet may send it over the internet; the app itself sends nothing.
Resetting and deleting data
Deleting a You-da-corn asks you to confirm, then removes its pictures and its name from the device.
Reset progress, in the Tester section of Settings, asks you to confirm before it erases bests, sprinkles, characters, the daily streak, settings and every You-da-corn with its pictures. As with every save, the save before it stays in the one rolling backup file inside the app until the next save replaces it.
Deleting the app removes all of its saved data from the device. Existing device backups are separate: they may hold your progress and You-da-corn names, never the pictures.
The Tester section
A hidden Tester section in Settings is there for testing and for App Review. It can unlock every shop item and top up the sprinkles, reset progress, and show the flight's frame times. It changes only the progress saved on this device and sends nothing.
Device backups
iOS may include the app's progress, including your You-da-corns' names, in your iCloud Backup or a device backup on your computer, depending on your backup settings. The You-da-corn pictures are always excluded. This is Apple's backup service, under Apple's policies, not a backup or sync service run by Blondee Games.
Children and permissions
The same privacy protections apply to children and adults. There is no sign-in, chat or leaderboard, and nothing a player does in the app leaves the device unless they share a score themselves. The only permission the app asks for is the camera, for a You-da-corn selfie, and only when that button is tapped. It does not ask for access to your microphone, contacts, location, photo library or notifications.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
